Half the fan I used to be

When I left Bozeman a week ago, the sports fan in me stayed behind as well.

It took me two days to find out who won the national championship game, I missed all of Sunday’s Patriots game (a good thing, it turns out) and I was stunned to see the Mark McGwire steroid admission the following day. Continue reading ‘Half the fan I used to be’

It’s not about the race

The new year is barely a week old and I’ve already gone on a memorable run. If fact, Saturday’s Fat Ass run at Headwaters State Park has been my only trot of 2010. It was fun to run up and down that road/trail and wave to everyone else who was out there just enjoying themselves; no pressure, no tension – just a run. Continue reading ‘It’s not about the race’
